Dear Friend,
I'm writing to let you know about a terrible piece of legislation  called
"The Freedom of Choice Act" (FOCA).

FOCA would establish the right to abortion as a fundamental right (like the right to free speech) and wipe away every  restriction on  abortion nationwide.

It will eradicate state and federal abortion laws that  the majority of Americans support and prevent states from enacting similar  protective measures in the future.

Please read the expert analysis by Americans United  for Life (AUL)  and sign the Fight FOCA petition at:

This was sent to me by a Rachel's Vineyard retreat counselor; I thought I'd pass it along. Also, I am helping with a Rachel's Vineyard retreat this coming weekend Nov 14-16. Please pray for the participants, it takes a lot of courage to attend one of retreats and with it comes hope, healing and forgiveness. For the team it is a labor of love. There is no pay, but the rewards are many. Please pray that God will use us as His instruments of Mercy, forgiveness, understanding and love also; that we make this the best experience possible. It is the participants that do all the hard work.

If you've never heard of Rachel's Vineyard here is the website 1. www.rachelsvineyard.org
If you know anybody (man or woman) who may be suffering please pass this info to them. It is for anybody who has been involved in any way shape or fashion in an abortion and is looking for healing, hope and forgiveness. I am seeing a new trend in that mothers are now joining their daughters to this retreat as perhaps they guided them in this direction. This is a place of non judgment; the team members (except for a few of the therapist) have been through a Rachel's Vineyard retreat themselves. There is a Priest or Pastor at the retreats for spiritual guidance. While this ministry is usually but not always a ministry that a Diocese funds, it isn't a "Catholic" retreat. The ministry is scripture based. The best part is nobody is ever turned away because they can't pay the fee; there are many good people who send donations so that others can attend. Ok, got my plug in. God Bless....Sherrie
