Dear Sir,
 
Earlier this week our Assembly was informed that due to budget cutbacks
in California, the National Guard would no longer be able to give our
soldiers who are going into combat in Iraq and Afghanistan Bibles and
Rosaries.  One of our members, on active duty with the NGCA, requested
our assistance.  We would like to raise enough money to give at least
1500 Rosaries, prayer cards and Bibles. I seriously doubt that we can
locally raise that kind of money as quickly as we would like, and I was
hoping that you might, through your many connections, be able to help us
reach our goal.  We are still looking for the best deal possible (the
best I have found thus far is $7500 for the Bibles, $3000 for the
Rosaries and $45 for the prayer cards).  Any ideas?
 
I am writing to several Bible companies for possible donations, but if
you know of someone I should try, please let me know.
